Don't worry, you're not the only one: Netflix is currently down, admins hard at work (Update: back up)
What to do on this Friday night? If your answer to that age old question was "Netflix," then you likely received a bit of a rude shock this evening upon discovery that the company's video streaming service is currently out-of-whack. If you're wondering why that is, it appears to be tied to some of Amazon's EC2 servers in Virgina losing power due to the bad weather there. As VentureBeat notes, it's a problem which is also affecting sites like Instagram and Pinterest at the moment. For its part, Netflix has acknowledged the issue via its Twitter account, to which it states, "We're aware that some members are experiencing issues streaming movies and TV shows. We're working to resolve the problem." So, there you have it. Now the only question that remains is whether you'll break out one of those red envelopes, fire up Hulu Plus or venture out to the theater to satiate your movie desires.
Update: @Netflix just tweeted that everyone should be back up, or will be shortly. The Amazon AWS dashboard indicates it's recovering as of 3:13AM, so all should be ready for your tilt-shifted Saturday brunch pics and subsequent dream board updates.

Glock fit for British Grand Prix
Timo Glock will be fit to return to action for Marussia at the British Grand Prix, after he was forced to withdraw from the European GP on medical grounds last weekend. The German driver suffered from an intestinal infection in Valencia and, after skipping qualifying to try and help him get fit for the race, he had to miss the grand prix too. After returning home to recuperate, Glock is hoping to be able to resume full training later this week - and will be ready to drive again at next month's British Grand Prix

Facebook launches unified mobile site, announces 250 million mobile users
Facebook has announced that its two mobile sites -- m.facebook.com and touch.facebook.com -- have been unified, bringing a simpler mobile experience to Facebook users. And there are a lot of those -- a quarter billion, according to Facebook.Smartphone users won't be losing any functionality because of the consolidation. If your phone supported the enhacned features offered by touch.facebook.com, the new site will automatically flip the switch when you visit.
Rolling the sites together helps simplify things for Facebook's developer team. Now changes can be pushed to a single site instead of two separate sites, which makes it easier to ensure that all mobile users receive a nearly identical experience regardless of the device they're using.
The new Facebook mobile can also check to see if your phone supports geolocation. If it doesn't, you won't be seeing much of Facebook Places -- which obviously relies heavily on geolocation. Images can also be optimized on the fly to keep page performance from suffering on less powerful devices. Flickr adds to sharing options, now easier to share photos across the Web
- Share from Photo page: There's a new sharing option on each and every photo page. When logged off, the button shows only Facebook and Twitter options. But once you log on, you get Tumblr and Blogger too, and can configure other sharing venues as well.
- Share non-public content on Facebook: This doesn't sound like a great idea, but you now can share private photos on Facebook if you're so inclined (and if you trust your privacy settings).

In addition to the sumptuous soul one expects from Mr. Raymond, perfectly exhibited on songs like "Lessons for the Lover" and "Dive," it's evident that Ursh has a serious love of dance music. This is certainly in contrast to the whopping banger "Euphoria," which won't need too much retooling before being added to a SHM set.</P><P>MTV News caught up with Angello this weekend at Las Vegas dance-music mecca XS Nightclub, where he revealed just how these two gems came to be.</P><P>"We did the [2010 American Music Awards performance] with Usher," Angello said. "And then he came to hang out with us in Ibiza. [After that] we were in Atlanta and we were all working together for five days. And then we brainstormed and wrote the records from start to finish."</P><P>As Swedish House Mafia fans are well aware, the holy trinity of house are extremely selective about whom they work with. But the chance to work with a time-tested R&B legend they respect was an opportunity they relished.</P><P>"He's always been a great artist," Angello continued. "He always knows what he wants. Good collaboration, all in all. For us, we'd rather work with someone that we respect than to just work with a big name. It was the same with Pharrell [Williams, on <a href="/news/articles/1643772/pharrell-williams-calls-swedish-house-mafia-necessary-rock-stars.jhtml">SHM's "One (Your Name)"</a>] and Tinie Tempah [on <a href="/news/articles/1647200/axwell-hes-hyped-play-new-yorks-electric-zoo-fest.jhtml">"Miami 2 Ibiza"</a>]."</P><P>While Angello reminded us that "Numb" and "Euphoria" are Usher records, not Swedish House Mafia joints, they ought to hold you SHM fans over until Ax, Seb and Steve deliver their upcoming Australia-inspired <a href="/news/articles/1682265/swedish-house-mafia-single-australia.jhtml">"Emotional" single</a>, which is almost complete.</p>

Pirelli increases GP2 tyre allowance
Pirelli will provide GP2 drivers with a fifth set of tyres per weekend from the upcoming Silverstone races onwards. An additional set of prime tyres will be permitted for each car on Fridays of race weekends, making a total of three sets of primes and two sets of options for the event, but one set of primes must be returned to Pirelli after practice. Now, ChromeLite isn't really all that functional. For the most part, it simply strips images and converts text into a monospaced terminal font. There are a few Easter eggs inserted -- such as a fun message at the bottom of YouTube (image after the break) -- and some fun ASCII art, but that's about it. Rather oddly, most JavaScript continues to work -- so you can still enjoy Google Instant Search!
ChromeLite was actually made by Google as an April Fools' joke -- and indeed, an annoying 'you can uninstall this!' message appears at the top of every page -- but we're kind of hoping that Google, or another developer, takes ChromeLite and turns it into a real ASCII browsing extension with configurable settings. If anything, it will provide an easy way to save bandwidth and CPU time.

I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion. But don't you worry, I will finish this show."
